STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 29, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Kicki Olivensjo, Nora Forisdal Larssen and Lars Forberg have all been proposed for election as Members of AB Lindex's Board of Directors. Christer Gardell has been proposed as the new Chairman and Conny Karlsson as Vice Chairman.
Ahead of AB Lindex's Annual General Meeting, the Nomination Committee has proposed the re-election of Christer Gardell, Conny Karlsson, Bengt Larsson and Lars Otterbeck and the election of Kicki Olivensjo, Nora Forisdal Larssen and Lars Forberg as Board Members of AB Lindex. Birgitta Johansson-Hedberg, current Chairman of AB Lindex, and Gerhard De Geer will not stand for re-election at the AGM in December.
Shareholders representing approximately 37 per cent of votes in the company have announced that they will support the Nomination Committee's proposal for the new Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting of AB Lindex.
Kicki Olivensjo, born 1958, is a fashion and textiles consultant. She has 30 years' of experience of the fashion industry. Over the past 20 years, she has held several appointments within H&M, including that of section manager of H&M's ladies' department. Kicki has also been design and production manager at Peak Performance. Kicki Olivensjo is also a board member of Idinge&olivensjo AB.
Nora Forisdal Larssen, born 1965, has previously been a partner at McKinsey&Company's office in Stockholm. She has considerable experience in retail trading and consumer goods, both within Europe and the USA, and has led McKinsey's activities within retail trading and consumer goods in Scandinavia. Nora Forisdal Larssen has no other board assignments.
Lars Forberg, born 1965, is the managing director and co-owner of Amaranth Capital. He has previously been Chief Investment Officer at AB Custos and has worked for Nordic Capital. Lars Forberg is also a board member of Intrum Justitia AB.
Christer Gardell has been proposed as the new Chairman and Conny Karlsson as Vice Chairman.
The Annual General Meeting of AB Lindex will be held in Chalmers nya karhus, Chalmersplatsen 1, Goteborg at 4 pm on 7 December 2004. The Notice of the Annual General Meeting of AB Lindex will be published on Tuesday 2 November 2004. AB Lindex (publ).
