Dr. Anderson brings over 30 years of telecommunication experience to the Executive Staff. As head of the Advanced Products Division of AT&T, Dr. Anderson led his team to establish AT&T's Voice and Audio Processing Center of Excellence that culminated in the commercialization of the "Watson Speech Recognition Engine".
While at Bell Labs and AT&T, Dr. Anderson was a Technical Manager in System Engineering, System Test and Project Management with profit and loss responsibility. One of many of Dr. Anderson's significant accomplishments was AT&T System 25 PBX that has generated approximately $1 Billion for AT&T in sales since its release. In addition, he was responsible for the system test of AT&T's telephone modem, 2 and 4 Line key systems, and defining and testing the terminal interface standards for AT&T's BRI terminals. As head of this department Dr. Anderson and his team developed the AT&T System Management Architecture for which Dr. Anderson's team was awarded the prestigious AT&T Architecture Award. In addition, Dr. Anderson and his team wrote the development specifications and provided system engineering support for the AT&T Definity Office Telephone Switch (PBX).
Dr. Anderson's experience is not only in mature companies, such as Bell Laboratories and AT&T, but in the "start-up" environment as well. While serving at Sound Advantage, as Vice President of Business Development he developed the business plan that brought to market the world's first "Auto Attendant System", specifically designed for Central Office / Carrier grade applications. The market Dr. Anderson developed for Network SANDi was the major telcos, such as Verizon, Bell South, New South, Alltel, Telmex, Bell Canada, etc. Dr. Anderson was responsible for negotiating a major agreement with Lucent Technologies that resulted in Lucent buying 10% of Sound Advantage.
In addition, Dr. Anderson formed the Wichita Group that specializes in Management consulting. Expertise includes planning, and the operational aspects of new business development, technology transfer and commercialization. Dr. Anderson's client list includes, Lucent Intellectual Property Division, Lucent Bell Laboratories, IBM Speech Solutions, Voice Control Systems (ScanSoft).
