ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Action Products International, Inc. (Nasdaq:APII), a leading toy designer and manufacturer of educational and positive, non-violent branded toys for pre-school children through pre-teens, today announced that orders and shipments are reaching record levels and the company's sales in November will establish a new high for the month. November 2003 sales were $452,000. The company expects November 2004 sales gains to be in excess of 40% based on shipments to date and the current pre-orders on hand.
"We are continuing to pick up momentum due to new products and with the Curiosity Kits(r) brand. With a number of exciting new products coming on line for 2005, our sales momentum is expected to pick up steam. We are continuing to focus on our brands, which are increasing in market acceptance. Our ability to deliver educational, non-violent toys and activities is core to our business. At Toy Fair in New York City in February, we expect to announce a new license agreement, which we believe will accelerate our growth with sales beginning in the second half of 2005. We continue to apply strict financial controls, have improved quality control measures and our production in China. We continue to seek and sell into non-traditional markets thereby reducing our dependence on any one account or channel. We are actively seeking acquisitions and joint ventures and expect to have at least one completed in 2005," said CEO Ron Kaplan.
