MALMO, Sweden, Nov. 24, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Teleca has today signed an agreement with Com Hem to supply a solution that makes it possible to measure the levels of quality and capacity use in Com Hem's cable network, right down to individual customer connections. The solution monitors digital TV, broadband access and fixed telephony.
Com Hem's investment in triple play has meant that Teleca has carried out an analysis of Com Hem's system architecture, which in turn has resulted in a strategic development plan. Teleca has now also been commissioned to implement a solution that enables Com Hem to ensure that all network services are optimally supplied. The solution is based on a product from InfoVista.
"We want to ensure that our services continue to meet our high requirements as we optimise the use of our network capacity, and Teleca's solution will enable us to achieve this. We feel confident and secure with Teleca as our supplier because we know they understand our needs. They've also supplied solutions to us before that have proved very successful," says Martin Kull, CTO at Com Hem.
"We're very pleased to be supplying this solution because among other things it demonstrates our leading position with triple play operators. In general our customers are increasingly asking for help in evaluating new business opportunities and the possible effects on their technical infrastructure," says Johan Strid, MD of Teleca OSS.
