HARRISBURG, Penn. , Dec. 2, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry welcomed five business leaders to it board of directors. The nominations were accepted today at the meeting of the board in Philadelphia.
New members serving two-year terms on the PA Chamber board are:
-- Robert O. Agbede, president and CEO, ATS-Chester Engineers, Pittsburgh -- Carl M. Carlotti, vice president, National Fuel Gas Distribution Corp., Erie -- Henriette Frey, associate vice president of Finance, St. Luke's Hospital and Health Network, Bethlehem -- Steven B. Hutton, president, the Conrad-Pyle Company, West Grove -- Matt Shaner, Shaner Hotel Group, State College
"As a member-driven organization, our success in developing and advancing pro-jobs policies that enable all businesses to compete hinges on input from businesses of all sizes, from all regions of the state and from all sectors," said Floyd Warner, president of the PA Chamber. "This necessary diversity continues to be reflected in our board make-up, as well as in our general membership. The vast knowledge and experience these new directors have to offer will contribute greatly to our ongoing efforts to make Pennsylvania a better place in which to do business."
In addition to introducing the new board members, PA Chamber directors accepted the renominations of 22 current members, who will remain on the board for another two years.
Two outgoing board members were recognized for their invaluable service to the business community: Norman White, Esq., of McNees Wallace & Nurick; and past chairman Patricia Langiotti, of Creative Management Concepts.
The Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry is the state's largest broad-based business association and the fastest growing state chamber in the United States, with more than 10,000 members covering all 67 counties.
