BALTIMORE, Md., Dec. 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VYST), a front line security and surveillance company, today announced an additional order from G.P.C., a Joint Venture procurer of equipment and technology for the United States Coast Guard.
The United Stated Coast Guard is one of the nation's five armed services that the Department of Homeland Security's official web site regards "As the nation's 'maritime first responder.' The Coast Guard serves as a crucial and responsive element of the Department of Homeland Security. The first Visual First Responder will be used by the Coast Guard's Strike Force Teams who are nationally stationed around the country."
"We are very excited to have the Coast Guard increase their initial order," stated CEO Gunther Than. "We are hopeful the Coast Guard will determine the VFR is mandatory for all units and boarding vessels. With over 150 ships, the VFR can be used to record every boarding allowing the field commander to see exactly what the on-board personnel see to ensure a thorough and comprehensive search."
The VFR, which is the premier wireless, live, first responder video system available, is also now being enhanced for further development in low light infrared and heat sensing through closed doors and walls. This could result in the addition of several new markets for the VFR such as fire fighting and collapsed structure search and rescue.
