ASHEVILLE, N.C., Dec. 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Homeland Integrated Security Systems (Pink Sheets:HISC) announced today that Fred Wicks has joined the "HISC Team" as Executive Vice President of Domestic and International Business Development. According to Frank Moody, CEO of HISC, "with increasing interest in our Port Security system, having someone with Mr. Wicks' international experience will be invaluable."
Mr. Wicks comes to HISC with a diverse background in domestic and international sales, marketing, product development and operations. Most notably, he is known for his organizational skills and the ability to rapidly put together a highly effective sales team that can increase sales dramatically while simultaneously cutting costs. According to Jim Bullock, HISC's chairman, Wick's global experience and contacts are an important addition to the company. The contacts that he has will allow him to begin immediately developing sales in the US, Canada, South America, Mexico, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Wicks joins HISC after a four-year assignment as Senior Vice President for a $13 billion European factory automation corporation. He has an MBA degree and resides in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Mr. Wicks major role will be to develop a first-class team of professionals to bring HISC's unique product line to the world's ports. HISC is best known for its controlled access entry systems for the nation's ports. Their products, including the Cyber Tracker (a small portable GPS), are unique in that they not only increase port security, but also aid in increasing commerce. More recently, HISC has added radiation detection to its port security lineup and is looking at several other enhancements to its product lines.
