eLocity Inc. -- Wednesday's Stocks to Watch: EMTK, FLWS, HTLD


SARASOTA, Fla., Jan. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The following is an investment opinion issued by eLocity Inc.:

Aggressive stock traders and investors, have a look at an emerging leader in the broadband mobile content market, E-Mobile Information Technologies (Pink Sheets:EMTK). Tuesday after the closing bell the company issued a press release announcing that its wholly owned subsidiary, CHL Technologies, has signed a three year agreement with Hong Kong publisher WenWei, a division of newspaper publisher WenWei Hong Kong, and a recognized source for published news in Hong Kong, Asia and North America.

E Mobile said through the agreement that it will convert WenWei's book library to digital format and make the content available to users to download and read through their cell phones incorporating E Mobile's Mobile Book Software Technology (MBST) from anywhere and at anytime.

Dr. Nan Hu, CHL President, stated, "We are very pleased to ally ourselves with such a respected mainstream news media publisher in Hong Kong. The addition of WenWei to our expanding list of publishers not only supports our effort to improve the value of our offerings to the Chinese public, but signals an international market readiness for our service. E Mobile (Pink Sheets:EMTK) MBST software comes pre-loaded on mobile phones in China from Nokia, Motorola, and other major manufacturers. E Mobile owns and operates a for-pay online mobile content website through CHL in China where cell phone users can effortlessly download thousands of games, books, magazines, news articles and even comics -- anytime, anywhere. E Mobile's Mobile Book Software Technology encompasses mobile multimedia publishing, mobile production tools, cell phone content presentation and management software, and Internet content services and server software. These components, when joined, enable cell phone users' access to a broad offering of innovative content.

EMTK is currently trading at around 4.5 cents a share.

1-800-Flowers.com Inc. (Nasdaq:FLWS)

Specialty retailer 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. announced Tuesday financial results for the second quarter, reporting earnings higher earnings driven by 18.5% increase in online revenues. 1-800-Flowers.com posted net income for the quarter of $8.7 million, or $0.13 per share. Pre-tax net income was $14.9 million, or $0.22 per share compared to $14 million, or $0.20 per share, in the comparable year ago quarter. Record revenues were reported of $230 million, up 7.9% from $213.2 million in the comparable year quarter. The company said online revenues increased 18.5% to $107.7 million compared with $90.9 million in the year ago quarter. Telephonic revenues were $109.6 million, down 3.4% compared with $113.4 million reported in the prior year period.

FLWS closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $7.68 on volume of 508,593 shares.

Heartland Express Inc. (Nasdaq:HTLD)

Short to medium haul truckload carrier, Heartland Express Inc., announced financial results for the fourth quarter Tuesday, reporting net income that decreased to $16.6 million from $19 million reported for the corresponding quarter last year. Earnings per share for the quarter was $0.22, compared to $0.25 reported for the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter increased to $119.44 million from $103.02 million reported for the same period last year.

HTLD closed Tuesday's regular trading session at $20.81 on volume of 518,143 shares.
