STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 26, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Orc Software, a leading provider of technology for advanced market making, trading and brokerage, reports today that Pan Capital, a specialized trading firm, has decided to license Orc Liquidator.
Orc Liquidator offers market makers, traders and brokers a high-performance, server-based trading platform that makes it possible to automatically monitor the market and execute trading strategies. Users are able to program their own trading strategies and adapt them in accordance to changes in the market. With Orc Liquidator clients are able to develop their own internal trading systems and simultaneously take advantage of Orc Software's access to more than 90 electronic markets.
"With Orc Liquidator we are now instantly able to use the arbitrage possibilities between the markets in which we trade. We will also be able to handle a significantly greater amount of orders at a faster pace," says Claes-Henrik Julander, EVP Pan Capital.
"It is very satisfying that Pan Capital has chosen Orc Liquidator. They trade in a number of markets in the U.S., Asia and Europe and with Orc Liquidator they will now be able to do this even faster and more effectively. Pan Capital is a perfect example of a client that fully understands how to use our new technology," says Jonas Lindstrom, CEO Orc Software.
The agreement had a financial effect in the fourth quarter of 2004.
