RACINE, Wisc., Feb. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pacific Sands, Inc (OTCBB:PFSD) announced today that the company has retained Robert Michael Krug to create video and print media support for the company's expanding product line.
Mr. Krug has a distinguished career as a producer, director and cinematographer of commercials, instructional videos, infomercials and other advertising media. He served as the in-house cinematographer and art director for Unilever Corporation (NYSE: UN), overseeing and producing literally hundreds of commercials, photo shoots and industrial videos. Mr. Krug recently completed production and principal editing on the feature film, Goodbye Tomorrow.
Pacific Sands intends to enter the nontoxic household cleaning goods marketplace in 2005 with direct response television commercials, featuring its full line of household cleaners in convenient "whole house solution" packages. The short format ads will specifically target consumers who are concerned with environment and health concerns often associated with mass market cleaning products. With recent escalating concerns over indoor air quality and household toxicity, Pacific Sands management believes that this there is an enormous untapped market waiting for just such a suite of products.
In addition to the infomercials, Mr. Krug will produce "point of purchase" and instructional videos for the EcoOne line of spa products and generate in-house product artwork for print ads and the web. The hiring of Robert Krug represents the final step in a five part EcoOne sales and marketing initiative that Pacific Sands management initiated and outlined in the company's management discussion of 10K-SB filing for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.
Mr. Krug will begin immediately and Pacific Sands anticipates that the projects will be completed by mid to late April, 2005.
