Williams reports that Humatech has been involved in a significant plant expansion at its Albuquerque, New Mexico manufacturing operations to improve the marketability of its products, especially for agricultural purposes, by providing a granulated product for farmers, rather than a powdered product. He said initial response has been especially strong.
"We are not just selling directly to farmers, but also to co-ops and larger fertilizer blending companies," Williams points out. "Price is not an issue for the right product."
Ease of use and handling is the key to higher sales, he notes, and that is why Humatech has developed a more user-friendly product. Williams also reports that demand for such a product has been there all along, is growing, and will lead to consistent growth in the years ahead, not just because of re-occurring revenues, but also greater market penetration.
The CEO said the operating plant with its additions is fully on line and is being upgraded to deliver at an even faster rate as orders come in for bulk shipments of product rather than just bags.
"Over the next quarter or two," says Williams, "we expect our sales will be significantly above what they were in prior periods. Our customers are high quality professionals, and we are privileged to work with such well-established companies. We are definitely in a great business."
As the company continues to improve its technology, he says, it will not only enhance sales of product, but also will enable Humatech to also create more of an entry barrier for competitors. Now, the CEO says, the company has set its sight on creating a granulated version of its Promax(R) animal feed ingredient to better penetrate that market as well.
