Former Technology Consultant to the Canadian Minister of Industry Enters into Consulting Relationship with Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. to Develop CyberNoze


ASHEVILLE, N.C., Feb. 10, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc., (Pink Sheets:HISC) announced today that they have entered into a consulting contract with Lance Long, Ph.D. Dr. Long is vice-president of eScreen Sensor Solutions, a Florida-based technology company involved in Cargo Container screening using electronic "nose" technology. The eScreen VaporNoze equipment utilizes GC/ SAW technology to detect explosives, nerve gas, toxic chemicals and narcotics in sealed cargo containers. Lance Long will be working with the engineering staff of HISS to develop a conductive-polymer sensor system, CyberNoze. When deployed, the CyberNoze will continuously monitor cargo containers during transit. HISS intends to integrate this CyberNoze technology with their CyberTracker vehicle and personnel tracking equipment and Rad-Con radiation detection equipment to offer a new level of security at seaports.

Prior to eScreen, Dr. Long marketed electronic detection equipment for several international defense contractors, including British Aerospace Engineering, and served as the Technology Consultant to the former Canadian Minister of Industry. During 2004, as an invited guest of the Mexican government he conducted screening demonstrations for Aduana Mexico (Customs) at several border crossings. In addition, he has provided petroleum screening solutions for PEMEX.

A much sought after public speaker, Lance Long has presented more than 2,000 seminars and workshops in forty-six states and six Canadian provinces.

Throughout the 1990's, Mr. Long was the president of BOSS, Inc., a financial services company which was active in the Resolution Trust Corporation workout. As a former professor at the Merchant Marine Academy, Dr. Long has a working understanding of the maritime industry. Lance Long received his B.A. (1968) and M.A. (1969) from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York and his Ph.D. (1972) from the University of Florida.
