Haldex increases ownership of Haldex Vienna to 100 percent

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Feb. 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Haldex has increased its ownership in the Haldex Vienna sales company from 49 percent to 100 percent.

The sales company in Austria was a part of the Midland Grau acquisition in 1998. Haldex then took over 49 % of the company, which changed name to Haldex Wien.

Haldex Wien sells Haldex brake system products in Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Czeckia and in the Balkan countries. The acquisition is another step in Haldex strategy to expand on the growing markets in Eastern Europe. Haldex is already present with sales units in Poland and Russia. During last year a production unit was established in Hungary. With a wholly owned daughter company, it is easier to implement further changes and marketing efforts, including the expansion of the product range to Haldex other business areas.

The efforts on profits are positive, but of less significance for thegroup as a whole.

Haldex (www.haldex.com), headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is a provider of proprietary and innovative solutions to the global vehicle industry, with focus on products in vehicles that enhance safety, environment and vehicle dynamics. Haldex is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and has annual sales of nearly 7 billion SEK with 4,400 employees.
