REMOTEC, Inc., a provider of hazardous duty robots for police and military applications and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC), will officially open its new headquarters and engineering and manufacturing facility. The new facility consolidates four separate buildings into a single engineering and manufacturing complex to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, while providing additional capacity to accommodate future business growth.
U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp, R-Tenn., officials from Northrop Grumman and other local business and community leaders will be on hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by REMOTEC officials. A facility tour will follow the dedication ceremony. There will be a media availability following the ceremony and tour, along with excellent video and print photography opportunities.
Directions to REMOTEC, 353 JD Yarnell Parkway, Clinton, Tenn., from McGhee Tyson Airport via Edgemoor Rd. and Hwy. 25W
- Upon leaving the airport, follow the signs toward Knoxville. - Merge onto U.S. 129 North (Alcoa Highway) - Take the I-140 exit toward Oak Ridge NOTE: I-140 is often referred to as the Pellissippi Parkway - After approximately 11 miles, I-140 crosses I-75/I-40. At this point, I-140 becomes SR-162 (still referred to as the Pellissippi Parkway). Continue on SR-162. NOTE: Eventually, SR-162 becomes SR-62. - After passing through the small community of Solway and crossing the Clinch River Bridge, take the Edgemoor Rd. East exit (Hwy. 170). - Continue on Edgemoor Rd. for approximately 7 miles. - At the traffic light at the intersection of Hwy. 25W (Clinton Highway), turn left (north). - Continue approximately 4 miles on Hwy. 25W (you will cross a bridge over the Clinch River). At the traffic light at Hwy. 61 (Charles G. Seivers Blvd.), turn right. - Continue on Hwy. 61 (approximately 3 miles). - Bear to the right after passing Jaycee Park and the Clinton Utilities Board; then proceed onto JD Yarnell Industrial Parkway, which runs through Eagle Bend Industrial Park. - Drive 1.3 miles to Northrop Grumman/REMOTEC (on the right). 353 JD Yarnell Parkway Clinton, Tenn.
