Nabrajah
Nabrajah-5 in Block 43 Yemen is testing a fault block ca. 1.5 km south of the Nabrajah discovery. The well has now been drilled to a depth of 2.501 meters. Preliminary results from logging indicate that the Qishn S1A sand contains hydrocarbon in thin sand beds with relatively poor reservoir quality. If moveable oil, this proves a deeper oil water contact than previously observed. The Qishn S2 sand is water bearing. Interesting hydrocarbon indications and log responses were also observed in the Saar formation carbonates. This zone is producing oil in the neighboring blocks 10 and 14. The forward plan is to set casing and drill into the basement interval to further appraise the gas discovery in Nabrajah-2. Following further evaluation of the Qishn S1A interval, the results from Saar formation as well as results from drilling into basement, testing of the well will be considered.
