TORONTO, March 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Produce Safety and Security International Inc, the `Company,' or (Pink Sheets:PDSS) announced that beginning today March 14th, PDSS will be performing a demonstration of the Whitewater Ozone Process at a major USA beef processor in southern California. PDSS will be demonstrating the product through the entire beef processing process to the finished product at the time of shipment and reconditioning. The demonstration will include truck sanitation and the washing of the animals prior to processing. PDSS's Whitewater Ozone Patented Process has certification documentation from the USDA/FSIS AND OSHA REGS.
"We are looking forward to showing our customers and our shareholders what our equipment can do to save money for our customers and provide for food safety and sanitation needs," said Clarence `Bill' Karney, President & CEO of PDSS. "One of the most important elements of the Company's food safe products and systems is its ability to extend the shelf life of a product an additional 10 to 60 days. The extension of the life cycle of a perishable product is extremely beneficial to all parties, including the consumer or commercial end-user."
The potential size and breadth of the USA food industry that the Company intends to penetrate is over $800 billion. Worldwide, the market for the Company's food-safe systems and distribution centers is considered to be many times the estimated market in the United States. Additionally, the company intends to sell and service multiple, worldwide markets across many industry categories. These include growers, buyers, shippers, processors and packers, transportation companies, domestic and foreign government organizations in the food industry. Individual markets will also include worldwide military and government programs, cruise lines, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, retail chains and even individual households.
The Company believes that its programs, systems and proposed distribution centers in the marketplace are second to none. PDSS can provide an inspection and information program with independent third party testing, lab analysis, audit trail or food-safe equipment for commercial and consumer use and distribution centers offering a full line of food-safe, private-label, processed products with certified, sanitized transportation logistics and delivery. Most companies have a partial food safety risk reduction program but none have the full service from the field to the consumer
Over the next few weeks PDSS intends to announce additional information regarding the acquisition of Mr. Clarence Karney's Food Safety International LLC, additional new management, plans for growth, new corporate office locations and a new website.
