NEW YORK, April 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- XMPie(r), the leading provider of software for dynamic publishing, today announced the appointment of Eyal S. Goldwerger to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Goldwerger was the company's Chief Operating Officer. XMPie's Founder and CEO Jacob Aizikowitz will become Chairman of the Board and assumes the new executive position of Chief Technology Officer. The move reflects XMPie's strategy to expand its global sales, distribution, and strategic partnerships.

Dr. Aizikowitz has led the company to its leadership position in the variable data publishing (VDP) software market. After six successful high-growth quarters, he has handed over the leadership role to Mr. Goldwerger and will focus on the product and technology vision of the company.

"Eyal brings to XMPie a rare mix of exceptionally strong execution capabilities, business acumen and leadership. We have worked together on a wide spectrum of strategic initiatives and I am extremely pleased with the results, " said Dr. Aizikowitz. "I am confident that as XMPie's CEO, Eyal will leverage the company's leadership position in the VDP software market to dramatically scale up our business and achieve market dominance."

Mr. Goldwerger joined XMPie in Q4'04 as the company's COO and actively led its global sales operations, marketing, and business development. He helped expand the company's sales-teams, realign its global sales and marketing operations and expand its channel relationships. Together with Dr. Aizikowitz he spearheaded several successful business development initiatives. XMPie continued its sales growth from last year reporting very strong sales in Q1'05 with a 60% increase over Q1'04. Contributing to the growth was the company's recent expansion of its sales activities in Europe, which included the launch of a new distribution partnership with Xerox Europe in Q1'05.

"I am honored to take the helm at XMPie. XMPie is exceptionally positioned in terms of the quality and demand for its products, and I have the privilege of leading a remarkably dedicated team that is passionate about delivering the best possible solutions to our customers," said Mr. Goldwerger. "Jacob's continued dedication in his new role as our CTO and Chairman is a critical factor in our success and I am looking forward to working with him on our strategic business and product initiatives."

Before joining XMPie, Mr. Goldwerger served as EVP Consumer Products and Distribution at WhenU, a leading online direct marketing company. There he ran global distribution and product development, contributing to its rapid growth. Previously, he was Founder and CEO of GoCargo.com, an Internet-based global trading system for container shipping capacity.

"Eyal's energy and experience in targeted marketing make him the right person to lead the company's growth," stated Allon Bloch, general partner at JVP and XMPie board member. "He has the proven ability to lead XMPie and enhance its leadership position by creating and sustaining rapid growth."
