SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- iMedia International, Inc. (OTCBB:IMNL) (www.imedia-intl.com) announced the appointment of John Buckingham as Director of Print Media Sales for its subsidiary and operating company iMedia US, LLC.
Mr. Buckingham has a long and varied history in the media, publishing and advertising industry starting his career with McCann-Erickson 1976. He later joined Time Inc. where he managed West Coast Accounts for both Money Magazine and Sports Illustrated. Later, he was appointed Western Regional Sales Manager for Golf Magazine, another Time-Warner publication.
"John is a great addition to our management team. He brings a wealth of experience and long-term relationships to iMedia," stated Scott Kapp, President of iMedia International.
In his expanded role, Mr. Buckingham will continue the Company's development and sale of digital enhancements to traditional print publishers. "iMedia's research continues to show that digitally enhancing traditional newspapers and magazines results in a more engaging user experience, and delivers higher retention and response rates for viewers," continued Scott Kapp.
More importantly, to an industry that continues to suffer from decreasing ad sale revenues, digital enhancements provide print publishers the opportunity to sell across the "print barrier" and into the multimedia budgets of their advertisers and sponsors, something they could never do before.
