The Hard Truth about What Men Want -- New Book Pinpoints Traits That Make Women Physically Attractive

DENVER, May 4, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Although women secured a new recognition of their sovereignty in both the workplace and in relationships during the past century, their appearance is still the main factor in securing a man, writes Brad Whitman. In his new book, The Hard Truth about What Men Want, (now available through AuthorHouse). He gives specifics on what a woman should do to make herself attractive to the opposite sex.

This bachelor highlights what he believes makes a woman desirable. This straightforward guide to the male mind tells women what men want to see in their ideal mate, from the hair to the jewelry.

"How many times have you heard that men are more visual than women? It's undeniably true! A woman's physical appearance is much more important to a man, than a man's appearance is to a woman," Whitman writes. "Being that as it may, that is the basis for what this book is all about. It will attempt to explain just how much emphasis is put in the way that you look physically holds in how men react to you."

Whitman outlines the things women need to do to catch a man's eye. Brutally honest, The Hard Truth about What Men Want examines everything from the perfect breast size to body hair maintenance. Femininity is the name of the game, he writes, and anything women do to detract from this natural power, such as refusing to wear perfume or paint their nails, makes them less attractive to men. Women, he writes, should not only uphold traditional standards of beauty, such as getting as close to an hourglass figure as possible, but they should also take great care that they shave regularly, wear dresses, refrain from swearing and be more "emotional" than their male counterparts. Women who emit a ladylike energy are the most attractive.

In the end, Whitman writes, "It's what's on the inside that counts." But outward appearances are a reflection of what's inside, according to him. The Hard Truth about What Men Want tells women what to do with themselves physically to ensure men will be interested enough in them to get to know what is inside.

Whitman is a freelance writer in Denver. He writes that although he is not a doctor or therapist of any kind, "he is just a regular guy that asked a whole bunch of other regular guys what they liked and preferred in women."
