BATON ROUGE, La., May 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Piccadilly Restaurants LLC today announced it will provide thank you cards to all Piccadilly customers. Now people in Georgia who wish to say thank you have the opportunity to encourage their own Georgia troops serving in Iraq.
Piccadilly Restaurants is inviting the community to visit any of its 27 Georgia restaurants and personalize a thank you card. Piccadilly will collect all of the thank you cards and send them to members of Georgia's currently deployed 48th Brigade. The complimentary thank you cards will be available in all Piccadilly restaurants through Flag Day, June 14.
The program was announced Friday at Fort Stewart by country music star and Piccadilly spokesman Billy Ray Cyrus during his free concert celebrating the troops and their families. The concert was the grand finale after a day of games, food and entertainment for the approximately 5,000 men and women who comprise the 48th Brigade. These soldiers left Saturday to serve overseas. Piccadilly sponsored the event by arranging for Billy Ray Cyrus to perform, and contributing a booth collecting thank you cards, providing coupons and hosting other activities.
