 StockPickReport Commentary
 Neil Batho, Columnist

I was speaking to a friend of mine today who has a building company building condos. He thinks that the housing market is approaching a top and next year will be the end of this huge housing boom. I mean think about it...who is going to buy that hasn't bought already? What is interesting about stocks is that even if there is continued growth, yet the growth SLOWS, then the stocks get creamed.

If you are holding building stocks like Beazer or Centex, tighten up those stops.

Look at this headline: "Stocks End Mixed As Investors Take Profits". I can't stand headlines like this. It should read something like this to be more accurate; "Speculators have been selling the stocks they bought in the past few weeks to people who just woke up." That would seem more accurate to me. "Investing" is a word Wall Street LOVES to use, because it seems more safe. Even when government makes reckless spending announcements they use the word "investing" -- what a joke!

Because if you're not at the front of the herd, the view is always the same.
