FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla., June 21, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Innova Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:IVHG), a software company providing software solutions to the service, personal, and industrial robotic markets, announces that it has opened a new research, engineering, and development center in Fort Myers. Code-named the RED Center, the 4,000 sq. ft. facility will be used exclusively for proprietary work developing and implementing advanced technologies in support of both industrial and service robot projects.
Innova Holdings subsidiaries, Robotic Workspace Technologies, (RWT(tm)) and the recently formed Service Robots Inc. both serve the robotics industry -- RWT provides its Universal Robot Controller (URC(tm)) to the industrial robot market and Service Robots has entered the service, professional, and consumer robot market. RWT has been awarded two U.S. patents for the URC and maintains a rich portfolio of intellectual properties; a third patent is pending.
"We have a wealth of proven technology in RWT," says Walter Weisel, Chairman and CEO of Innova Holdings and RWT. "Our mandate is to protect our rich portfolio of intellectual properties while continuing to develop new technology to support the industrial and service robot markets. The RED center provides the proprietary environment to develop new applications for emerging markets. The RED Center offers our customers, engineers, and technicians the proper environment to protect advanced development."
The RED Center opened in May 2005 and already a number of robots, URC's, and other equipment have been received.
According to Mr. Weisel, the company plans an aggressive hiring program to support its new programs. New hires will include software developers, mechanical engineers, and automation technicians.
