COSTA MESA, Calif., June 29, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce has appointed Gregg Schwenk to the District Export Council of Southern California.
Schwenk is senior vice president and director of market research and analysis for RSM EquiCo, an investment bank specializing in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital raising for midsized companies. An M&A professional with nearly 15 years of experience, Schwenk was selected for his active involvement in business and community volunteerism as well as his extensive knowledge of finance, marketing and business relocation.

The District Export Council is a not-for-profit organization that assists small and midsized companies on export and international trade, market understanding and strategic options. As a member of the council, Schwenk will provide advisory services that support the counseling and guided assistance offered by U.S. Department of Commerce International trade specialists.
Schwenk will also assist various agencies and groups in Southern California's Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties that seek to better understand the middle market and issues facing American businesses.
As director of market research and analysis for RSM EquiCo, Schwenk coordinates all aspects of corporate analysis, business intelligence and industry research. Schwenk earned his bachelor's degree in political economy at the University of California, Berkeley and continued post-graduate studies at the University of Southern California.
