Statoil wins Patent Case

Following a patent entitlement hearing at the UK Patent Office earlier this year, the Office published its decision on 21 July 2005.
The hearing related to a UK patent and corresponding foreign applications owned by the University of Southampton. The decision states that Statoil is entitled to ownership of the patent and foreign applications, in place of the University of Southampton, and that Svein Ellingsrud and Terje Eidesmo are entitled to be listed as the inventors.
