STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Lennart Johansson has been appointed the new President of the Trelleborg Engineered Systems business area within the Trelleborg Group. He succeeds Peter Nilsson, who will become the new President and CEO of the Trelleborg Group on October 1, 2005.
Lennart Johansson is 45 years old, has a Master of Science and has worked within the Kemira Group since 1998. He is currently the President and Business Area Manager for Kemira Kemwater, the President of Kemira AB and a member of Kemira's Group Management. The Kemwater Group has global operations and is represented in 28 countries. Between 1983 and 1998, Lennart Johansson worked for Perstorp AB in various management positions and was also a member of Group Management. During his time at Perstorp, he also worked and lived in such countries as Brazil and France.
In 2004, the Trelleborg Engineered Systems business area's net sales amounted to slightly more than SEK 3.9 billion and employed approximately 3,200 people. Its head offices are located in the town of Trelleborg, in Sweden, and production units are located in Australia, France, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, the U.K., Sweden, Germany and the U.S. The business area maintains a distribution organization for industrial supplies in North America.
Lennart Johansson will assume his new position during autumn 2005.
