LOUISVILLE, Ky., Aug. 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- CinTel Corp. (CinTel) (OTCBB:CNCN), Korea's top Internet Traffic Management (ITM) solution provider, is pleased to announce that Samsung Electronics Corp. (Samsung), a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Korean Stock Exchange, announced the purchase of over six-figures' worth of CinTel's iCache 8020 Web cache solution for its Kumi Center in Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, South Korea. This purchase is in addition to Samsung's purchase of CinTel's iLog in February 2005, and the iCache 8020 will replace the existing Web cache solutions as the volume of Samsung's Internet traffic continues to increase rapidly. CinTel's iCache solution beat out multiple competitors to be the supplier of choice for Samsung.
Mr. Kyung Sup Lee, general manager of the sales department at CinTel announced, "Samsung first purchased CinTel's Web cache product, the iCache 2000, in 2002. We are happy to have Samsung as a satisfied returning customer and to be selected over a number of much better known competitors. I can't say enough about how proud I am of our engineering team here at CinTel that they delivered a product which a world-leader in technology like Samsung recognizes as offering superior value over our competitors' products. Currently, the peak traffic load is 350 Mbps (megabites per second) at Kumi Center, and we anticipate it to increase to 600 Mbps within two years. Kumi Center required an advanced solution, because, in addition to caching, it required filtering, log-in monitoring and other value-added services. As a result of purchasing CinTel's iCache product, Samsung will be able to reduce the costs associated with dedicated lines of internet traffic and expensive security solution costs as iCache 8020 has important security features already built-in to it. As a result, we expect that Samsung employees will be able to respond to internet inquiries faster and substantially improve their productivity. CinTel has raised its reputation in the enterprise market and laid the foundation for continued accelerated sales of their ASP and other similar products."
