SE Global Files Proxy Circular


DIAMOND BAR, Calif., Aug. 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- SE Global Equities Corp. (OTCBB:SEGB) ("SEG") reports that the company has filed a Form 14A Proxy Circular with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission regarding its transaction with China based Sun Media Investment Holdings Limited ("SMIH") as reported on Form 8-K and related press release on July 21, 2005.

An Extraordinary General Meeting has been scheduled for September 12th, 2005 for a proxy vote on the transaction and related matters. Capital Alliance Group Inc., being the majority shareholder of SEG, has indicated it intends to vote in favor of all matters before the meeting including the transaction. The final closing of the transaction is subject to stockholder approval and various other customary closing conditions. SE Global currently expects the closing of the transaction to occur shortly after the September 12th meeting, subject to the satisfaction or waiver of all conditions to closing.
