BALTIMORE, Aug. 29, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VYST), a leading homeland defense solutions provider, has been featured in the Situation Report Technology Brief in the August, 2005 issue of Homeland Defense Professional Magazine.
The profile written by Douglas Page entitled, "Seeing is believing: Hazmat Cam gives ICs a better view," highlights the features of the Hazmat Cam which is marketed commercially by View Systems as the Visual First Responder (VFR).
This instrument was designed specifically to aid emergency first response teams in efforts involving terrorist acts, chemical, biological, and radiological hazards. Idaho National Laboratory engineer and inventor of the VFR, Kevin Young, was interviewed for this article. He stated, "The goal is to provide a steady, reliable, unblinking eye to convey as clearly and in as much detail as possible the conditions within the incident area."
Since the VFR is the first wireless video system that combines encrypted video, a 900MHz transmit frequency, a waterproof camera, and a three-antenna diversity receiver, it has the ability to "transmit a secure and stable video image where other portable wireless video systems fail," said Mr. Young.
According to the Homeland Protection Professional website, this magazine reaches 23,000 key decision makers in various emergency response agencies.
Gunther Than, CEO of View Systems, stated, "The VFR is the winner of the prestigious R&D 100 Award and it will be featured at the upcoming American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) 51st Annual Seminar and Exhibition on September 12 - 15 in Orlando, Florida."
