HAMILTON, Bermuda, Sept. 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Reference is made to the press release dated 26 July 2005 in addition to the offer document prepared in connection with the voluntary offer submitted by SeaDrill (Oslo OTC:SDRL).
SeaDrill has received acceptances covering 824,546 shares in Odfjell Invest Ltd. through the voluntary offer of NOK 17 per share set forth in July 2005. SeaDrill holds after these acquisitions 73,387,488 shares in Odfjell Invest Ltd. (OSE:OIL), equal to 91.73% of the share capital.
Settlement for the accepted shares is expected to take place on 7 September 2005.
