COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Sept. 5, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- In August 2005, the total number of passengers in Copenhagen Airport increased by 109,420 passengers (+6.3%) compared with August 2004.
Breakdown of departing passengers:
The number of locally departing passengers increased by 53,240 passengers (+9.5%). The number of transfer/transit passengers decreased by 12,698 passengers (-4.2%).
International passengers:
The number of scheduled international passengers increased by 89,465 passengers (+6.2%), while the number of international charter passengers increased by 18,910 (+12.4%). Consequently, the total number of international passengers increased by 108,604 passengers (+6.8%).
Domestic passengers:
The total number of domestic passengers increased by 816 passengers (+0.6%) compared with August 2004.
Operations and take-off weight:
In August 2005, the total number of take-offs and landings decreased by 471 operations (-2.0%), while the tonnage decreased by 7,680 tonnes (-1.1%) compared with August 2004.
