VALENCIA, Calif., Sept. 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- AUTON Motorized Systems, the world's leading manufacturer of motorized TV lifts, has been honored by industry peers for excellence in design and manufacturing for its Plasma TV Ceiling Flip-Down System. The prestigious Product of the Year award is presented by Electronic House magazine, one of the nation's leading, high-tech home electronics publications.
One of the most sought-after awards in the home theatre design and installation industry, 2005 marks the second time in four years that AUTON has received the Electronic House Product of the Year award. In 2003, AUTON'S proprietary Automatic Shut-Off Technology won the award.
The official Product of the Year presentation will occur in Indianapolis, IN on September 10, 2005, during the CEDIA Expo. CEDIA is an international trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home. The association's annual show is the largest of its kind in the world and uses all of the available floor space in the Indianapolis Convention Center and the adjacent RCA Dome.
Virgil Walker, President of AUTON Motorized Systems and inventor of the Flip-Down System is honored to have his latest innovation chosen by Electronic House as Product of the Year. "We worked really hard to make the Flip-Down a viable system for use in all kinds of design applications; it only requires 11.5" of ceiling space for installation and that was quite a challenge. After all our design work, testing, and then finally getting it to market, we're especially thrilled to have been chosen to receive such a prestigious award."
AUTON'S Flip-Down System has garnered national media attention and the system is featured regularly on HGTV'S new hit series, "I Want That!"
