Michel de Lambert Appointed Head of Scania Latin America


SODERTALJE, Sweden, Sept. 19, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Michel de Lambert joined the Scania Group on 1 September 2005 and will become Senior Vice President Latin American Operations on 1 January 2006. In this position he will be a member of Scania's Group Management and report to Leif Ostling, president and CEO of Scania.

Michel de Lambert, 58, has held various positions in the transport industry, most recently as CEO of the Charles Andre Group in the area of hazardous cargo transportation. Between 2000 and 2003 he was employed by the Fiat Group and served as CEO of Iveco for two years.

Before joining Iveco, Mr. de Lambert was CEO of Fraikin, a leading European truck contract hire company. Between 1989 and 1993 he was employed by the Bombardier Group, and as CEO of Bombardier Eurorail supplied the passenger shuttle trains for the Eurotunnel.
