Dow Jones Indexes Announces Senior Staff Promotions


NEW YORK, Sept. 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dow Jones Indexes president Mike Petronella today announced three senior staff promotions.

John Prestbo, editor, is promoted to editor and executive director. John will be responsible for index operations, customer service and client support, third-party support, index development and maintenance, index research and analysis, and public relations.

Craig Braswell, assistant director of index services, is promoted to director of global index operations. Craig will assume full day-to-day responsibilities for all of operations and customer service globally, and will join the senior management team of Dow Jones Indexes.

John Place, director of index services, is promoted to senior director of business development. John will be responsible for developing and growing the fixed income, energy, commodity and credit derivative businesses. John also will be an active participant in building on the success of Dow Jones Indexes' equity classification venture, Industry Classification Benchmark, through asset class expansion.

Mr. Petronella said Mr. Prestbo and Mr. Place will report to him, while Mr. Braswell will report to Mr. Prestbo.
