Telelogic Joins AUTOSAR

Support of the AUTOSAR initiative complements Telelogic's commitment to industry standards

MALMO, Sweden and IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 5, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading global provider of software solutions that align advanced systems and software development with business objectives, today announced that it has joined the AUTOSAR development partnership as Associate Member.

Strong support of industry standards has always been a key element of Telelogic's strategy to further the value and benefit of Telelogic's Lifecycle Management Solutions for a broad range of applications. It is a proven tradition for Telelogic to be actively involved in shaping the future of advanced systems and software development by participating in leading industry organizations such as INCOSE, OMG, BPMI.org, ETSI, ITU-T and many others.

"As an AUTOSAR member we will be able to provide even better support for our numerous automotive customers worldwide," said Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO of Telelogic. "With the AUTOSAR initiative to establish an open standard for automotive electric/electronic architecture the automotive industry is taking a major leap towards standardization of components, scalability, maintainability and off-the-shelf subsystems. Having the AUTOSAR framework embraced by an integrated toolset as provided by Telelogic's Lifecycle Management Solutions will further increase the value of adopting AUTOSAR for automotive OEMs and suppliers."

While some of Telelogic's Lifecycle Solutions are ready for use in an AUTOSAR environment, Telelogic has initiated work on adding AUTOSAR specific capabilities in Telelogic TAU(R), the comprehensive UML 2.0 modeling tool.
