Delta Launches Worldwide Fare Sale

Sale fares, bonus SkyMiles(R) complement Delta's international expansion to new markets in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean


ATLANTA, Oct. 5, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) invites customers to consider broadening their travel horizons by adding a new country, or even hemisphere, to their journey log. Beginning today, Delta is offering special low sale fares for a limited time to scores of great destinations in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean -- many of which are new to Delta's international network.

Customers can purchase tickets through Oct. 19, 2005, and travel for all destinations must be completed by April 3, 2006. Customers also can earn 1,000 bonus SkyMiles(R) for each flown round-trip ticket purchased on delta.com.

With its upcoming fall and winter schedule, Delta will add to the 37 new international routes introduced or announced since Jan. 1, 2005. New markets in Europe and India include New York (JFK) to Chennai, India (via Paris); New York (JFK) to Berlin, Germany; Atlanta to Moscow. Some of Delta's newest destinations to Latin America and the Caribbean include Atlanta to Liberia, Costa Rica; Atlanta to Antigua (starts Dec. 18, 2005); Cincinnati to Montego Bay; Salt Lake City to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (1)(2) and Atlanta to Managua, Nicaragua (1)(2).
