VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cinema Internet Networks Inc. (d.b.a. "CinemaWorks") (TSX-V:CWK), a Canadian provider of Internet equipment and services, has signed an agreement with Edgar Mercado to develop and lead the Company's business development in Latin America. Mr. Mercado will develop a plan and strategy to distribute and support powerline and cable broadband solutions beginning in Costa Rica and Mexico. The Company has incorporated a Latin American subsidiary (CinemaWorks S.A.) in Costa Rica from where business activities in Latin America will originate. In the near future, the Company anticipates opening a second office in Mexico.

Cinema Internet Networks Inc. (d.b.a. CinemaWorks) is a Canadian-based public company that provides high speed Internet services to approximately 15,000 hotels rooms in its network of hotels and university residences throughout North America. As a Consul of Political and Economic Affairs at Consulate General of Mexico in Chicago, Mr. Mercado was in charge of the political and diplomatic relations of the Government of Mexico with American political authorities including state governors, mayors, and congressmen in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin. In addition, he dealt with economic issues between American businessmen, exporters from Mexico, various city chambers of commerce along with authorities in the departments of commerce of the states mentioned above. With the Trade Commission of Mexico, he arranged business agendas and facilitated "match-making" between Mexican and American companies in the midwest. As a Head of Department of Financial Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mercado was in charge of financial relations between Mexico and international financial organizations such as the IMF, World Bank, GATT-WTO, OECD, Unctad, G-3, G-15, G-77, etc. Mr. Mercado holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Public Management from Universidad Autonoma of Barcelona.
