Delta Offers Customers New Routes Between Florida, Ohio, and D.C.

Special low fares introduce service starting in December from Orlando to Akron-Canton, Washington, D.C.

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Building on its standing as the leading airline to Florida, Delta Air Lines is providing travelers with even more routes between significant business destinations and the Sunshine State. On Dec. 1, Delta Connection carrier Comair will begin two new daily non-stop flights between Orlando, Fla. and Reagan Washington National Airport, and on Dec. 15, Delta Connection carrier Freedom Airlines will start daily non-stop service between Orlando and Akron-Canton Regional Airport in Ohio. And the added value of special low introductory fares will make these new routes an even better deal.

"Our new routes between Orlando and the nation's capital and Akron-Canton underscore Delta's transformation plan to focus on offering our customers more service to more of the destinations they value for business and leisure travel," said Bob Cortelyou, Delta's vice president for Network Planning. "And because Orlando is one of the premier vacation capitals of the world, new service there continues to be in demand."

To celebrate this new service, for a limited time Delta is offering customers special low introductory fares of $74 for travel between Orlando and Akron and $69 for travel between Orlando and Washington-Reagan. Fares shown are each way, based on a roundtrip purchase. Additional taxes/fees/restrictions apply. Fares shown are available for purchase only on delta.com or from a travel agent.
