Leading Marketer Edward Ney Joins Sun New Media's Advisory Board


DIAMOND BAR, Calif., Nov. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sun New Media Inc. (OTCBB:SNMD) ("SNMI") today announced that Mr. Edward Ney has joined its board of advisors. Mr. Ney, currently the chairman emeritus of Young & Rubicam, the world's largest independent advertising company, brings a broad range of experience and expertise in marketing, business and diplomacy to the SNMI group. His insights into the marketing industry and his global network of connections will be a powerful asset as SNMI continues to build China's largest interactive marketing services company.

Mr. Ney's career has included senior level positions in the world of business, public policy and diplomacy. He has spent much of his career at Young & Rubicam, where he served for many years as the chairman, CEO, and president of the company. Mr. Ney left Young & Rubicam in 1989 to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Canada, a role he continued in until 1992. When he returned to the U.S., he was named chairman of Burson-Marsteller's worldwide board of advisors, where he advised top-level clients on key issues involving public policy, corporate communications and marketing strategies. Since 1998, Mr. Ney has served as the chairman emeritus of Young & Rubicam, contributing a major role in the expansion of the firm internationally and within the industry.

Mr. Ney serves on the International Advisory Board of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (C.S.I.S.), is a member of the Advertising Hall of Fame, and an honorary chairman of The Advertising Council. He is a trustee of the Museum of TV/Radio (MTR) and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He also received the gold medal (for Advertising) from the International Radio & Television Society.
