MAINZ, Germany, Dec. 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Coattec Industries, Inc. (Pink Sheets:CTCK) today announced that the Company will focus on the research and development of proprietary coating technologies and processes in an effort to penetrate the North American roofing foil and housewrap markets. In conjunction with a focus on technology, the Company plans to develop licensing agreements and form strategic partnerships with established North American based companies in the construction and building materials sectors.
Coattec has already begun taking steps to establish itself in the North American marketplace by registering its products with the U.S. Patent and Trademarks office. The Company plans to maintain low overhead costs through the outsourcing and subcontracting of manufacturing, logistical and operational functions in the United States. This business strategy allows Coattec to avoid the high costs and long lead times of investment in machinery and brick and mortar.
Due to escalating energy prices, there is an evident market shift toward energy efficient roofing systems and the American construction market has demonstrated a newfound willingness to adopt superior technologies regarding high quality construction, specifically in the fields of insulations and energy savings. Additionally, increased demand has raised the cost of building materials, prompting the market to develop and adopt new and more efficient technologies to reduce the usage of these materials.
"Coattec's high quality roofing systems possess huge market potential. To compete within the North American roofing markets, we are focusing our efforts on developing partnerships to facilitate the outsourcing and subcontracting of manufacturing and transportation services so that management can concentrate on incubating new technologies and growing intellectual property to be used in the roofing foil and housewrap industries amongst others," commented Bernd Meinecke, President and CEO of Coattec Industries. "We believe that with the rising costs of raw materials and regulatory expenses in this industry, our proprietary formulas and lean operational infrastructure will provide Coattec with a significant advantage in both cost and quality."
Bernd Meinecke would also like to restate that the Company is aware of the circulation of faxes regarding Coattec and is working diligently to identify, stop and persecute all responsible parties.
