Compuware CEO Headlines Marygrove's Annual Business Lecture January 25


DETROIT, Dec. 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Compuware chairman and CEO Peter J. Karmanos, Jr., is the featured speaker at the Marygrove College Annual Business Lecture on Wednesday, January 25, 2006. The lecture will take place in the Denk Chapman Hall of the Madame Cadillac Building from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

Jane Hammang-Buhl, chair of the Business and Computer Information Systems Department, said, "We are delighted that an executive of the caliber of Mr. Karmanos has agreed to come to talk with Marygrove students and visitors to Marygrove. Our focus for the Annual Business Lecture continues to be entrepreneurship and Mr. Karmanos is certainly one of the most successful."

The title of the presentation is "The Lessons I Learned at Pete's Place." Pete was Mr. Karmanos, Senior, and he owned a diner in Detroit.

Peter Karmanos, Jr., along with Thomas Thewes and Allen Cutting, established Compuware Corporation in 1973 with the vision of helping people do things with computers by providing them with professional technical services, allowing them to focus on their own core businesses. Today, Compuware is Detroit's technology giant with nearly 8,000 employees and more than $1.2 billion in annual revenue.
