John brings to CMI considerable experience managing research, product development, engineering and lean manufacturing for technology companies.
Prior to joining CMI, John Leonard was the Vice President, Engineering and Operations for the DUAL-LITE division of Hubbell Lighting. At DUAL-LITE, John developed sixteen new product families using cross-functional teams and a rapid, "voice of the customer" development process. As such, he was responsible for collaborative development of functional customer requirements, new product design, product testing / certification, and management of the entire development process through production, including the production of rapid prototypes and cost engineering.
