Mortsel (Belgium), January 18, 2006 - Today, Agfa-Gevaert announced that an agreement was reached with the social partners on the company's plans to sell its logistics operations (Gevaert 8) in Wilrijk, near Antwerp. These operations relate to the storage and distribution of Agfa-Gevaert's film consumables and equipment. Today the works council and all employees involved were informed on the timing and modalities.
With reference to the agreement, Agfa-Gevaert has entered into exclusive negotiations with Group H. Essers, which already has been servicing the storage and distribution of Agfa's printing plates out of Wilrijk for a couple of years.
