The Struggle to Solve the Inequities of the World Never Ends -- New book sheds light on the fairness of life and helping others

LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa., Feb. 9, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Life in our world is never balanced and never fair. There are always people living on opposite ends over many fields such as wealth, power, business, and the like. And because of the imbalance, people are bound to get into conflict with one another over many things and history has recorded these tragic events for a very long time. The call for fairness and a leveled playing field begins with author Quentin Monte as he presents a striking story of passion, mystery, and fairness with his compelling new novel Goods of Desire.

Goods of Desire tells the story of different people who struggle to find meaning and equality in their lives. The story moves around a scientific device called "Gizmo" which has tremendous powers that only triggers the interest of many people. Two men, Charley Watts and Evan Casey, are both involved with Gizmo which the latter used to experiment at many events without the knowledge of his friend. Casey would go on to exploit the device and get involved with new people and even the mafia.

But things start turning for the worse when G.O.D. (acronym for Goods of Desire) their international organization exploits Gizmo, which attracts the attention of Father Quinn, who has been tracking the organization for years. Not only that, Charley gets into deep trouble with his life while Casey and his friend Meg find themselves threatened as they protect Gizmo. Will Charley and Casey be able to survive or are they truly doomed? Only time will tell.

Richly-layered and striking, Goods of Desire is a fascinating story about the unfairness of life, the ruthlessness of people, the corruption of power, and the everlasting human struggle to solve the inequities of the world. Readers will be able to connect themselves with the characters and what they will find amazing is the character of Charley who represents the basic feelings of author Quentin Monte. Not only that, they will marvel at the introduction of a new method of exercise for the human mind as well as Charley's Humanity Day speech (pages 50 and 51 in the book). Goods of Desire is one of the most exciting and relevant books to find at your local libraries and bookstores!
