Vaisala's carbon dioxide product deliveries hampered by fire at the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland
VTT is the supplier of key components for Vaisala CARBOCAP® carbon dioxide products. Due to a fire in the clean room of the VTT microelectronics center on Friday February 24, 2006, components required for Vaisala's carbon dioxide sensors cannot be manufactured for approximately six months. VTT and Vaisala are cooperating to find alternative manufacturing solutions for the duration of the hindrance.
The incident is estimated to cut Vaisala's result for 2006 by approximately EUR 1 million.
