Baar- Sika, Switzerland, integrates Covercrete Flooring Systems, active in the area of industrial flooring, in its North American business.
Covercrete based in Ontario, Canada, develops, produces and distributes polyurethane based flooring systems.
With Covercrete the Sika companies in Canada and the USA will strengthen their market positions in the industrial flooring segment. In addition, Sika can take advantage of an existing network of applicators and customers.
The integration of Covercrete's polyurethane based flooring technologies and products expands Sika's capabilities to service a wider variety of customers, especially in the food processing industry, in North America and on a global basis.
Covercrete achieves sales of about CHF 6.6 mil. annually. The cost of the acquisition totaled approximately CHF 5.3 mil.
