Britain and France (with U.S. Support) sent ten non-permanent members a proposed tough statement they want the UN Security Council to give Iran about the nuclear topic. France and Great Britain still hope that veto wielding members, Russia and China, will support the plan.
The effect on the stock market thus far is, basically, "ho hum". But that could all change in an instant. The moment Iran were to break off any hope of settling the problem, world markets (especially oil and gold) would see a move sharply higher in our opinion.
We believe that the potential for a downside move in both oil and gold is negligible and suggest you look at Gold (NYSE:GLD) or oil stocks such as Suncor (NYSE:SU) as ways to profit while the markets correct.
A couple weeks ago I picked the Activision (Nasdaq:ATVI). I bought 900 shares and stuck them in my short-term portfolio. I bought mine at $12.47 and sold today at $13.70.
