CALVERTON, N.Y., March 29, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- AdZone Research, Inc. (OTCBB:ADZR) today reported that William Murphy, a professional law enforcement officer with more than 30 years experience, has been named Vice President -- Marketing OPPS. His mission is to accelerate the deployment of both the OPPS Online Predator Profiling System as well as the company's FAST Report system.
Murphy has more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, including 24 of those years in supervisory and management positions. He is a recognized expert and lecturer in grant writing and related federal standards and legal requirements. As the lead strategist and author of grant applications for the acquisition of technology, he was successful in obtaining grants amounting to more than $22 million for his agency.
A 2002 graduate of the prestigious FBI National Academy, Murphy also is a member of the International Associations of Chiefs of Police and the International Police Association. He has participated in technology and management courses at Long Island University, the University of Virginia and the University of New Orleans. He also has participated in more than 40 technology related conferences, lecturing on such topics as mobile computing, digital records management, grant writing and grant program maintenance.
Over the past 10 years, as an officer with the rank of Captain in his jurisdiction, Murphy has served as the Commanding Officer of several technical support units and was responsible for the analysis and implementation of all new technology, including the $22 million in purchases made under the COPSMORE and CITA grant programs. He has also been a District Operations Officer, responsible for the daily operations of a precinct, overseeing a patrol force of 200 officers, and 40 investigators.
