Fred Bos appointed new CEO of Fortis Private Banking

"We welcome Fred to a fast-moving train," says Karel De Boeck, CEO of Commercial and Private Banking. "Rob has done a lot of great work during his five years at Fortis, and Private Banking is in fine shape right now. There's still a big task ahead, but we're fully primed for continued growth. With our international strategy clearly established, funds under management increasing by 33% to almost EUR 70 billion and net profit rising even faster, the last year has been tremendous. This, combined with the acquisition of Dryden Wealth Management, creates the expectation that Fortis Private Banking will move further up the ladder of European top private bankers."

Karel De Boeck also paid tribute to the outgoing CEO of Fortis Private Banking: "We thank Rob ten Heggeler sincerely for all he's achieved at Fortis. We wish him the best of luck with this new step in his career."

Fred Bos's successor will be announced shortly.
