COLOGNE, Germany, May 22, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- "Now the German national team is also traveling light," said a pleased Dieter Morszeck, CEO of RIMOWA GmbH. Just after the team players for the soccer World Cup were announced, he gave the team 100 cabin trolleys and 100 Bolero suitcases. The team was equipped with the luggage on Tuesday at the meeting point in Frankfurt. Every player has a number on his luggage set, so that they cannot be mistaken.
"That is a great service from RIMOWA. Such light suitcases make traveling really quite comfortable. The national team knew to appreciate the offer for what is was," commented Oliver Bierhoff, Manager of the national team.
The suitcases are conceived, designed and produced using the most modern knowledge available; RIMOWA Bolero are made of 100% polycarbonate, the plastic for extreme conditions. The luggage has three stars in Germany's colors. The ultra light luggage is especially durable and extremely flexible. If it is compressed it automatically returns to its original form as soon as the pressure disappears.
The Bolero series is equipped with practical front pockets made of hard-wearing polyester fabric. As with all other RIMOWA products, this model was tested by TUV and received a "very good" rating. The interior design has useful accessories such as an organizer with a flexible divider, attache holder, net divider, shoe and laundry bags. The large double wheels that rotate in all directions ensure maximum mobility. Combination locks with zipper stops secure the luggage against unwanted access.
