Valentine's Day Party is Out of Control! -- Charming Pony, Potamus and Chicken Introduced!

TULSA, Okla., May 25, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- A paper pony and potamus in a field of cupcakes, and a sparkling Wendy Wand to transform them into charming characters full of joy and questions. These characters begin the latest chapter in the amazing adventures of Susie Lunsford's Magical Wishing Well Forest Series, Adventure Five: Jellybean and Gumdrop.

Jellybean, the pony, and Gumdrop, the potamus (to us who have yet to encounter a potamus, it is a hippopotamus, so small it can only be called a potamus), sprout in the garden of the Marshmallow cottage. They spend their first day in the enchanted forest in school on Valentine's Day. It's a great day to learn about the value of manners, the joy of showing care and concern for others, and the importance of understanding differences. Jellybean discovers that being dyslexic, which is why her brand on her side is backwards, makes her special, and her class votes her Queen. The Valentine party goes crazy when Merry Fairy's enchanted hats turn out-of-control valentines loose in the classroom.

There are many charming characters who are as varied as they are charming. Egghead Doodledunn only shouts "woo-hoo." Chicken Noodle has something strange under his stovepipe hat. Jimmy the Stick runs a soda shop, and has a Flutterbee as a waitress. Queen Flower's garden blossoms are reflected in the color of the snow. Jellybean discovers pink snowmen with the help of Crystal Snow Fairies. Army ants practice canoe races in icy water to build muscles. Gumdrop wants to study math to count the number of ants he can leapfrog, and Mr. Jinglebritches, the schoolteacher, wears unusual neck wear, but you have to read the story to see what he is.

This "Read to Me Storybook" is an enchanting way to present values to children. Your three to six year old will snuggle down with you and enjoy the sparkling illustrations by Linda Carnes, as well as the imaginative story. Through Jellybean and Gumdrop, the joy of caring is beautifully presented. Visit the forest at www.themagicalwishingwellforest.com or your bookstore.
